Crossroads School

Anthony, a student at Crossroads School, recently started his first vocational job!

Crossroads School, a program of Crossroads continuum, provides students with vocational training and opportunities through various programs both in and out of the school building.

Internal work opportunities are designed to prepare students for success in future external vocational sites by increasing independence, performance, and time on task. After a student demonstrates the ability to meet the demands of a simulated work environment at the school, they have the oportunity to be placed with one of Crossroads Continuum’s external vocational partners. Jobs are carefully chosen based on student strengths and preferences, using information from the student, classroom staff, parents, assessments, and the vocational coordinator.

This is Anthonys first time being out of the building at a vocational site and he did a fantastic job! He stocked their refrigerators with drinks and wiped down tables. Afterwards, he was rewarded with a cookie from the cafe!
