MEET OUR NY COMMITTEE

SEAN CRIBBIN
In 2012, a friend told me about Bike to the Beach because I have a brother with autism. Over the past five years, I’ve grown from an individual rider to Committee Leader and have even traveled to new areas of the country to participate in other B2B rides. I never realized how underfunded autism is relative to other disorders until I became involved in B2B. Seeing the impact our event plays for families and organizations in the autism community is what motivates me to ride, fundraise, and organize the best autism awareness fundraiser on the planet!
As a team captain myself, serving as all Captain’s point of contact is rewarding when I can provide a solution. If you need help recruiting, motivating, fundraising, or organizing your team’s weekend stay, I’m your man!
Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement on a Team Captain Event in the near future!
JAMIE POWELL

I’m Jamey Powell, City Coordinator for New York! This is my first year with Bike to the Beach, but I’m no stranger to bikes. As a spin instructor in NYC and triathlete, I am excited to bring my love of 2 wheels to such an amazing cause. I’m the NY point of contact for all things coordination; group rides, ride day logistics, community events, etc. Let me know if there’s anything I can help with, and I look forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming training rides.

MAX HART
I was around when Bike to the Beach was just getting off the ground as an organization over 10 years ago.
My involvement has grown from washing out coolers and putting signs up, to having 15+ rides under my belt across multiple cities.
It is going to be very exciting for the 2017 New York ride be the largest yet, and I am even more excited to welcome all of the first-time riders.
Come and join us for ~40 mile ride, get to know some fellow riders, and join the community in your training for our century on June 9th out to Westhampton Beach!
CLAYTON PATTON

A veteran of the NYC finance and accounting startup scene by day, in his spare time Clayton is an avid cyclist and sports enthusiast who has logged over 800 miles across 8 different Bike to the Beach Rides: New York (6 times), DC (1), and having also participated in the inaugural Key West ride in 2015!
Clayton got involved with Bike to the Beach six years ago because one of his closest friends, who has a younger brother with Autism, asked Clayton to join him as co-captain of the Biking for Brendan team. Since April 2012, the B4B team has raised over $80,000 to benefit the cause! Clayton keeps coming back every year because he is hooked on the communal atmosphere that is associated with every B2B event.
Clayton is especially looking forward to this year’s ride as he will not only be spending a weekend in the Hamptons celebrating his 9th 100 mile ride with B2B and his Biking for Brendan teammates, but he will also be celebrating his 30th birthday on Saturday June 10th!

KEN SUAREZ
A rider for 6 years, Ken originally became involved as a liason for Deloitte’s Impact Day involvement. Not only did he coordinate overall engagement, he hopped on the bike and did the event as well. That year he not only enjoyed the ride, but he loved the weekend at the beach and getting to know the Bike to the Beach community. He was hooked.
He has seen the impact on the NY autism community expand each year as well. He is looking forward to all the old and new faces that he sees on ride day and looks forward to making memories with everyone over ride weekend.
