Amber Lynne Black, of Houston, TX, Figure Pro Athlete, GBO Pro Athlete, health coach, nutrition expert has just registered to bike in the inaugural Bike to the Beach charity bike ride to Galveston, TX. Amber, who has accumulated dozens of athletic and fitness accolades, is an adult living with autism.
Living with autism, un-diagnosed, until the age of 37, Amber faced a life-time of challenges. She always knew that she was different than most, but that never discouraged her in reaching impressive feats. She has competed in 35 fitness competitions, founded her own small business, become an AADP Board Certified Practitioner, and founded the nonprofit the Autisticfit Society, dedicated to empowering individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to improve their level of physical fitness and nutritional awareness.
Amber has partnered with Bike to the Beach to further both organizations’ goal of connecting physical fitness to health, growth and empowerment in the autism community.
Amber has taken on the challenge of biking 100 miles for autism, despite not being an avid cyclist. Her commitment to fitness and the cause of autism awareness is reason enough!
Bike to the Beach Houston is honored to have Amber Black as a founding rider for B2BTX on Saturday October 22, 2016.
The “Autisticfit Society”, Amber’s nonprofit organization was founded to provide an informative and comfortable structure for empowering individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to improve their level of physical fitness and nutritional awareness. Amber leads by example in how exercise and nutrition assists in managing autism, but also leads to a lifetime of health.
