2) A New WORRY-FREE Fundraising Policy
We know times are tough and asking for donations is not easy. But times are tough for our non-profit partners too, and they need as much support as they can get.
To make it easier to support our cause and our partners, we have updated our fundraising policy to make it easy for anyone to Bike to the Beach.
All we ask is that you try.
Bike to the Beach participants are asked to raise a minimum of $500 OR earn 1,000 activity points**. The majority of riders go far above and beyond the minimum; most riders raise $1,000 and earn more than 2,000 activity points.
We count the 1,000 activity points towards the fundraising minimum to allow riders who may not reach the $500 minimum to support the ride by advocating for the cause. Activities taken on our fundraising portal (such as posting on social media, fundraising, and recruiting riders) earn activity points, which are tracked through riders’ online participant portals.
We understand that there are extenuating circumstances where participants will be unable to fundraise $500 or earn the 1,000 fundraising points. Please contact us if you feel there will be problem meeting your fundraising minimums.
